Dancers captivate the audience

Organized by the habfurt dance and ballet school "on point to the 21. The first schweinfurt dance festival offered a varied evening with demanding choreographies and outstanding performers at an extraordinarily high level. Once again, renowned dance schools from the region, above all the organizing ballet school "on point", presented their products, proving her excellent dancing skills. The show featured a wide range of dance styles, from classical and modern ballet to national dance, oriental dance, neo-classical and modern, lyrical jazz and jazz dance, swing, samba, hip hop, breakdance and singing& dance captivates the audience.
This year, the focus was once again on the 13 winning dances with which on point sensationally qualified at the german ballet competition for the dance world cup, which takes place at the end of june in sitges, spain. But also the remarkable number of first-class soloists and groups of the other participating dance schools contributed to the success of the popular dance event.
The evening started with two excellent danced and very different flamenco variations as well as the fast russian dance "simnin vescheran", all three performed by the on-point performance classes. The "napoli" duo, among others, performed classical ballet to great acclaim of the dancers lorraine buhl and alicia reub from on point, who had won the silver medal at the german championships herewith. Lorraine buhl with her solo pointe dance "stars and stripes as well as the only 13 and 14 year olds "magde" from on point showed why they qualified for the world championships in spain.
A real feast for the eyes was the lyrical-jazz-stucco "my soul", which was designed by the dancer melanie day from "mdance company", who also teaches in habfurt danced with incredible stage presence and was rewarded with strong applause.
A special highlight of the evening was the performance of the trio lorraine buhl and alicia and yannick reub from "on point" with the national dance "lescheboka, with which they had fetched the gold medal at the german championships. Finally, the performance classes of "on point" offered a first highlight with the award-winning dance "dos a dos" choreographed by uta muller-reub a brilliant conclusion to the first half of the program.
After the break the show continued with the more modern dance forms. The performance classes of "on point" set a first high point with the stucco "jet set" choreographed by melanie day, with which they won the silver medal in the category "singing and dancing" at the german ballet competition as well as yannick reub with his refreshing solo "I wanna be like you" from the musical "jungle book.
These performances were topped by the extraordinarily sovereign solo piece "anything goes", alicia reub had stood at the top of the podium at the german ballet competition. Also lorraine buhl showed with "all that jazz in this category your can.
Not only the aforementioned soloists from the field of singing & dancing showed their rough skills, but also a variety of ensembles from the fields of jazz, hip hop and breakdance. Here mainly groups of the host dance and ballet school "on point" performed on. Cool moves of the meanwhile advanced breakdance groups brought the audience to storms of applause, as did the groovy choreographies of the numerous jazz and hip-hop formations.
The "os peixes do samba" samba group from schweinfurt offered together with the jazz-group of "on point a stirring performance, before the successful evening was concluded with a rough performance of "on-point-schoolchildren with a "dance of the vampires demonstrated why they could win the gold medal at the german ballet competition with this musical and dancing high performance. There was no end to the applause when all the dancers of the evening took to the stage once again for a grand finale performance.
