19 New sanitarians

19 New sanitarians

In a total of four weekends with a minimum of 45 hours of instruction, 19 participants were trained as sanitarians.
The participants come from the BRK-bereitschaften, the wasserwacht and the youth red cross, plus two members of the DLRG. Sanitary training deepens and expands the content of the first aid course. Among other things, the graduates can take measures in case of unconsciousness, respiratory and cardiovascular failure, wounds, bone and joint injuries. They are trained in rescuing and transporting injured and sick people and have learned how to use a defibrillator. They can also be deployed in event security or disaster response.
They can also be used as on-site helpers to bridge the therapy-free interval – until the arrival of the rescue service – at one of the sites. The sanitary training is the cornerstone for further training by the aid organizations. The training is carried out by our own specially trained instructors.
